Larry D. Cook

Larry D. Cook, age 71, passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at the Countryview of Sunbury. His family was by his side on a beautiful sunny day. He was born November 24, 1945 in Canton, Ohio to Ralph I. and Marie E. Breimer Cook.

He graduated from Timken Vocational High School in 1964. Larry then went on to work for American Electric Power for 45 years before retiring in 2009. Larry and his family moved to Columbus, Ohio in 1994 but his heart always belonged back in Canton with his favorite past time of watching the McKinley Bulldogs Football Team. His favorite vacation spot was Emerald Isle, NC where he loved spending time on the beach.

After retirement Larry’s most precious times were with his family especially his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Ralph Cook and brother-in-law Robert Marchbank.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years Rebecca Meiser Cook, mother Marie Breimer Cook, son Gregory Cook, daughter Krista(Mark) Jaynes, sister Sandra Cook Marchbank and beloved grandchildren Samuel and Sophia Jaynes. A host of family and friends including Jen, Mya and Philip.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1pm, Sunday, September 10, 2017, at Schoedinger Funeral Home in Worthington, Ohio where his family will receive friends from 12 Noon to the time of service. Funeral Celebrant, Andrew Hoover, officiating.
