

Larry Hoffman, 62 of Columbus, died Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at home surrounded by family. He was born October 31, 1947 in Mansfield, OH to the late William and Nanceita (Myers) Hoffman. He served in the US Air Force during Vietnam and retired after thirty eight years from General Motors in Mansfield. He attended Grace Brethren Church, was a member of Amvets, VFW and Local # 549 UAW. He was an avid sports fan and was a member of the Columbus Capitals and Ohio Village Muffins Historical Baseball Teams. He and his wife were foster parents to over thirty children. He loved bowling, trap and skeet and SASS. He is preceded in death by his parents and daughter Tracy Jo Hoffman, step mother Naomi Carter Hoffman. He is survived by Sandra (Anderson) Hoffman, his wife of forty three years, daughter Heather L. Ordonez, two granddaughters Elisa Dale and Anya Ordonez, two step sisters Jill (Gary) Knight, Lorrie (Gene) King, step brother Alan (Ginger) Kochheiser, Uncle Ervin and Aunt Carol Anne Myers, Uncle Harold Hoffman, “Adopted dad to”,John Hartline, Brian Kolesar, and Tiffany Lordier; along with other extended family. Family will receive friends Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, July 24, 2010 at Polaris Grace Brethren Worship Center, 8225 Worthington-Galena, Westerville., OH. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Hoffman Family Trust at any Chase Bank
