

Larry A. Holloway, age 69, passed away at his home on Saturday, January 14, 2012. He was born in Houston, Texas, on February 23, 1942. Larry served our country in the US Army, and he worked as an optician. He made glasses for Lenscrafters for over 10 years. Larry was also passionate about music, and he was in several bands over the years. He played guitar and bass for several local bands, and was previously a member of Haze. He was a strong believer in God, and he was a member of the Northland Church of Christ on Cleveland Avenue. He was also a member of the Eagles. He enjoyed camping and fishing, and most of all, spending time with his family. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his best friend and wife of 35 years, Kathy Holloway; children, Chuck (Heather) Davis, James (Anne) Davis, and Angel (Jeremy) Cordial; mother, Mary Holloway; siblings, Oran Holloway, Donald Holloway, and Shirley (Skip) Hughes; and many grandchildren, other extended family, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Oran Holloway. Family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, at the SCHOEDINGER LINDEN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 2741 Cleveland Ave. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home with visitation from 12 p.m. until the time of service.
