Larry L. Weaver

Larry L. Weaver, child of God, passed away Friday, June 19, 2026. Larry was born on November 18, 1935 in Pataskala, Ohio to the late Warren and Mary (Pickering) Weaver. Also preceded in death by son Larry Weaver, Jr: daughter Julie Comer; and sisters Betty (Jim) Stotler, Patty (Joe) Palmer and Mary (Bob) Fickle. Larry dedicated 32 years to music education, with 24 of those years spent teaching at Grandview Heights High School. During those 32 years, in the summer he was the superintendent of traffic and admissions at the Ohio State Fair. Larry and Patricia joined Upper Arlington Lutheran Church in 1973. During his time at UALC, he was the director of the choir and on the committee for the building of the Mill Run Campus. Larry was devoted in teaching the Gospel of Jesus thru his music and faith. Larry will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 68 years Patricia (Geyer) Weaver; granddaughters Erica Comer and Lauren (Justin) Williams; great-grandkids Adonis, Octavia, Cohen, Garrett and Carter: and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to send a special thank you to the OhioHealth nurses and hospice team, especially Abby, Talynn and Ashley. A Memorial Service celebrating Larry’s life will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at Upper Arlington Lutheran Church Mill Run Campus, 3500 Mill Run Drive, Hilliard, Ohio 43026. A Reception will immediately follow until 4 PM. A private entombment will be held at the UALC Columbarium.
