

Launder Walter “Bud” Jackson passed away Monday, October 21, 2013 at Riverside Methodist Hospital at the age of 93. LWJ was a proud “Yankee Doodle Dandy” born on July 4th 1920 in Cleveland, Ohio to parents Walter and Suzanna Jackson. Bud graduated from Zanesville High School and attended Ohio Wesleyan University where he was in the Kappa Sigma fraternity and graduated in the Centennial Class with a Bachelor of Arts in 1942. He and his wife were charter members of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Bexley and he was currently a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Dublin, Ohio. He worked for the United States Government for 38 years both in San Bernardino, California and the Defense Construction Supply Center in Columbus, Ohio. Bud was also a Master Mason in good standing of the Ralph R. Rickly Lodge # 670 F & AM. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Helen A. Jackson. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Craig Hungler of Columbus and grandchildren, Megan (Nick) Borgia and Zachary Hungler, also of Columbus. Bud loved spending time with his family, traveling the country, especially to New Smyrna Beach, Florida and we are confident he is back playing Jeopardy each night at 7:00. He will be greatly missed by the many people who loved him and his best memories will resonate within us. Friends may call 6-8 pm on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Road, where an additional calling hour will be from 10-11am Friday, October 25 with a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Craig Swanson officiating. Entombment at Kingwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Bud Jackson to the Ohio Health Foundation for Riverside Art in Residence Program, 180 East Broad Street-31st Floor, Columbus Ohio 43215.
