Laura Lee Holcomb

Laura Lee Holcomb, age 85, died peacefully on November 17, at Wesley Glen Retirement Community following a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born Laura Lee Burnett on April 4, 1931, in Roanoke, VA, Laura was a long-time employee of Worthington Schools District office and a member of Worthington Methodist Church.

She married Joseph Willard Holcomb on Dec, 26, 1951 in Roanoke and lived in Worthington since 1963. Laura enjoyed doing activities with her family and was an avid reader who was exceptionally proud of her Sudoku skills. Laura is preceded in death by her parents Clarence Earle Burnett and Beulah (Leonard) Burnett.

She is survived by her husband Joseph and sons David B Holcomb and Gordon R Holcomb; grandchildren Nathan, Leighann and Bo Holcomb, and Amberley and Ariana Rosen; sisters Doris Ashford of Salem, VA and Carolyn Wright of Middletown, DE, along with numerous cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 5-6 on Dec 3 at WORTHINGTON METHODIST CHURCH, 600 High St, Worthington, OH 43085. The Service will follow at 6:00 with fellowship and a light meal at 7:00.
