

Laura D. Hubbard, age 93, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2013. She was born May 23, 1919 to the late Charles H. and Emma L. Ames of Bethesda, Ohio. Laura had eight brothers and sisters who preceded her in death: Harry, Raymond, Willard, Darrell, Mildred, Mabel, Madeline, and Wilma. Laura graduated from Business College in 1944. She attained a managerial position with The Ohio Bell Company in Barnsville and Zanesville and became a chief operator for the organization. Laura and Paul Hubbard were married sixty-one years until Paul’s death in August 2010. She is survived by her daughter, Mary (Lee) Peterson of Phoenix, and her son, Douglas (Missy) Hubbard of Grove City, Ohio. She had four grandchildren; Michael (Melissa) Brown of Phoenix, Barrett (Garen) Brown of Tucson, Ryan (Becca) Hubbard and Katie (Paul) Carmichael of Grove City, Ohio. Laura had four great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Mackenzie, Ryley, and R.J. All will remember and cherish loving memories of this great lady. She loved her family and friends. She believed truthfulness and honesty are treasures and sincerity of good deeds. Her family will receive friends from 10-11 AM Friday, January 11, 2013 at the Schoedinger Grove City Chapel. Private family interment to follow at Sunset Cemetery.
