Laura will be missed by her fellow cousins.  She was for a short time the youngest, an honor that she gladly surrendered.  She never lost the good nature of the youngest child and always adored the small children.  She was always our dear friend and could find something good in all of us.  She listened to our stories with respect, laughed at our bad jokes, tolerated our pranks and never judged us.  I hope Laura will continue to watch over our families from heaven and I know that I will feel her warmth and her laughter forever.

Laura was always a joy to visit at work.  If you had a question, she'd have the answer.  If you had a concern, she'd listen and take heart.  She'd always stop what she was doing to give you her full attention and prop her hands on her desk in front of her to show that there was nothing more important than listening to what you needed to say.  She had a captivating and joyful smile and I'm going to miss her.

Laura was such a delight and pleasure to work with at the Ohio Department of Development.  She was very good at what she did, but more importantly, she was compassionate and understanding, she never judged, and she always had a smile on her face.  I will miss her smiling face and her presence in my life.  Kimber Perfect

I was lucky enough to know Laura only for about 5+ years, but the memories of our friendship will last forever.  She was one of the kindest, most fun-loving people that I've ever known.  She helped me during some tough times, and helped me celebrate the better moments.  I especially loved to hear her laugh.  It was so infectious!  My thoughts and prayers are with everyone. I miss you already, Laura!

I have so many memories of Laura and the 15 years I've known her ... so hard to put it into one paragraph. She was one of my dearest friends, and I feel such a deep sense of loss and sorrow, but trying to keep smiling, as I know Laura would yell at me if I was crying over her ha ha. She would hate that.

I have amazing, funny memories of spending every summer for the last 8-9 years at Oliver Lake with Laura and also Emily, it was a trip we all looked forward to every year. We would go for three days and take enough food to last for 10 ha ha, but we'd manage to eat it all ha ha! We were so full! Then we'd turn some of Laura's favorite music on (usually Jeffrey Steele, Jimmy Buffet ... so many more ...) and lay out all day on the porch, share stories, laugh, read and laugh some more. We'd get our floats out and float in the lake together. We'd all hold onto each other's floats so we wouldn't drift away from each other. Then we'd always end up one night singing karaoke at Coodie Browns bar in the town and listening to the host and DJ named Bugman sang "Starry Eyed Surprise." We of course sang along.

We also celebrated my 30th birthday and her 40th birthday together in Vegas, where we both fell in love with playing blackjack at the Imperial Palace with "dealertainers." She was specifically fond of a Blues Brother impersonator by the name of Kevin ... she just had such a crush on him ha ha ... 

She also loved the song Wagon Wheel ... a song sang by one of her favorite Columbus Bands Gipson & Fitz. She'd always sway to it as they sang it.

One more thing I have to mention .. Laura gave me my first bible when I accepted Christ as an adult at age 28. It's the first and only bible I have ever owned.

Laura taught me to love life and live it to the fullest ... She was a hard worker but she worked to live, and live she did ... I will never forget the sound of her laugh. I know I will see her again one day. I love you Laura.

Joan's note made me think of another fond memory of Laura and our days at St. Agatha grade school.  Her parents were kind enough to let her have a slumber party and we had a blast - we stayed up all night dancing to records while a few of the gals tried to get some sleep.  Laura was always sweet and kind to everyone - and our class wouldn't have been the same without her.  We will really miss her and her family is in our prayers.

What a lovely photo of Laura!  Definitely the Laura I so fondly remember.
One of my fondest memories of Laura from childhood (St. Agatha School days) is simply that she was ALWAYS a consistently kind, gentle, and warm-hearted person to be around. I also remember swimming at Tremont Pool w/ Laura until dark, under the lights (back when the U.A. pools were open a little later!) before a sleep-over or two.  Fun memories. I know she will be dearly missed by all family and friends.
