Lelani dedicated her time loving her parents Kennedie and Micheal. Her cheesy smile could light up every room she was in. Followed by her glowing strong presence and sassy personality. Her laugh was warming and brought joy to whoever could listen. Lelani had a “it girl” factor knowing how to own a room.
Her personality gave her nicknames:
Cheesy baby, Chucky monkey baby, burrito baby,mama/dada girl, lovie, laylay, lani, lil woo, lil butter, love & THE QUEEN!
On August 22nd, 2026 Lelani Lovie Slaughter transitioned from this life to her homecoming. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Larry, great grandparents; Richard Gaston, Lonny Welch, and Barbra Gaston, great great grandparents; Robert Holmes, and Almetta Holmes along with aunts, uncles and cousins.
Lovie leaves to cherish her loving memories, parents, Kennedie and Micheal Slaughter, grandmothers; Sye Slaughter and Veronica Williams, grandfathers; Freddy Slaughter and Vernon Smith, followed by her aunts, uncles, God parents, cousins, great grandparents and many other dear friends and family.
