

Leo John Conway, Jr., age 62, of Upper Arlington, died Sunday, October 19, 2014 at The Ohio State University Medical Center. He was born June 20, 1952 in Camp Chaffee, Arkansas, the son of Leo John, Sr. and Helen (Keyzer) Conway. John retired after 30 years of teaching at elementary schools in West Jefferson. He is survived by his four sisters, Judy (Gus) Wilgus, Emerald Isle, NC, Susan (Charles) Himes, Bald Head Island, NC, Barbara (Don) Abbruzzese, Galloway, OH and Sherry (Allen) Appel, Upper Marlboro, MD; many nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and grand nephews, and special friends. John was a graduate of Upper Arlington High School, Class of 1970; Heidelberg University with a Bachelor’s degree in Education and received a Master of Science in Education at The University of Dayton. He was an avid gardener, enjoyed cooking and was an outstanding photographer. Above all, he loved his family, teaching and taking care of his beloved dog, Nora and cats. Friends may call 5-8 pm Thursday, October 23, 2014 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL1740 Zollinger Rd., where the funeral service will be held 1:00 pm Friday, October 24, 2014.
