Leonard G. Filaseta

Leonard Guido Filaseta age,89, of Blacklick,OH, passed away at home on Tuesday, September 10th, 2013. He was born to the late Anthony and Filamena (Pucci) Filaseta of Waynesburg, OH. Leonard graduated from Waynesburg High School.

Leonard was a WWII Army veteran. He was patriotic and proud to have attended Honor Flight in Washington D.C. Leonard was a talented, well-established beautician who prided himself in his Italian heritage. He and his wife Vera lived in Madiera, OH for over 55 years. He was an avid gardener and was featured in " Country Almanac Gardening Magazine." Leonard was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Leonard was preceded in death by Veronica (Titta) Filaseta, his wife of 66 years, and his brother Nick Filaseta. He is survived by his son Gary (Judy) Filaseta, sister Esther (Filaseta) Kendle, grandchildren Chris (Roberta) Filaseta, Emily (Trevor) Wells, Kimberly (Troy) Vaughan, great grandchildren Dustin Donalds, Cody Filaseta and Emma Vaughan.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2013 from 10am until the time of Funeral Mass at 11am at St. Matthew the Apostle Church, 807 Havens Corners Rd, Gahanna, OH 43230.
