Leroy Wilbur Sipes

Lee was born on April 5, 1933 in Logansport, Indiana to Elba Yike and James Sipes. He entered into heaven on November 12, 2015. He was the youngest of 5 children. He was preceded in death by his parents and his 2 beloved stepdads, Floyd Harmon and Grover Garrison. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, James, Arthur, and Robert.

He is survived by his loving wife Kathleen of 54 years and his devoted son Kenny (Lori) Sipes of Pickerington, OH. He is also survived by four perfect grandchildren, Emma, Ethan, Jack, Miles Sipes. Sister, Madeline Hines and family of Indiana and all of the Reynolds family in Wisconsin.

Lee was raised in Indiana, and was a US Army veteran. He retired after 35 years with North Central/Republic/Northwest/Delta Airlines in Chicago, Green Bay, Minneapolis, and finally Pickerington, Ohio where he spent the last 40 years of his life. Lee was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He radiated God’s love and everybody who met him knew it. He was hard-working, funny, loyal, easy going, smart talking, kind, sacrificial, unselfish, ornery, always ready to go and a dedicated Minnesota Vikings fan.
