

He was born, December 12, 1914 in West Union, Oh. to parents, Leslie and Inez Mitchell Woods and moved to Columbus in 1920. He was a 1936 graduate of North High School. He proudly served in the Army Air Corps, enlisting in 1941 to 1945 holding the rank of Tech Sgt. with the Flying Tigers in Kunming, China earning a Bronze Star. Woody loved his family, riding his horses and motorcycles trapshooting, and hunting. Predeceased by his wife of 47 years, Teresa Egizi Woods, who met and fell in love at a USO dance in 1942. Survived by daughter, Suzanne Conway and husband Mike; son, Tom Woods and wife Suzanne; son, John Woods and wife Carol; grandchildren, Tim Conway and wife Katie, Kristy Conway Charles and husband David, Tom Conway and wife Carrie, Jesse Woods, Mollie Woods Thompson and husband Kerry, Bryan and Jonathon Woods; great-grandchildren, Ellie, Michael and Claire Charles, Harper Conway, Ava and Ellis Thompson; along with numerous nieces ,nephews and friends. Family will welcome friends Tuesday, May 27,2014 from 5-8pm at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Road, Columbus,Oh. 43229, where a funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 28,2014 at 10:00 am at Schoedinger North Chapel. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
