

Lester Sexton, age 76, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at home, surrounded by family. He was born January 19, 1942 in Garner, Kentucky to the late Delmar and Drutha Sexton. Lester is preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Joyce and Sue and brother Darvin. A devoted husband, father and grandfather he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife of 56 years Loysetta; children: Kevin (Kim) Sexton, Colleen (Jeff) Gaston; grandchildren, Travis, Samantha, Madison and Jessica; extended family and many good friends. Lester was Navy veteran, and a retired Sergeant of the Columbus Police Department where he served for 20 years until his retirement in 1985. After retirement Lester worked as a fraud investigator with Anthem BC/BS and later as a fraud investigator for the Ohio Department of Agriculture. Lester had a strong faith, incredible kindness, and overwhelming love for his family. Family will welcome friends from 4-5:30pm Thursday, November 29, 2018 at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 North High Street, Worthington, OH 43085, with a brief service at the same location from 5:30-6:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions may be made in his memory to the Westerville Area Resource Ministry (WARM) 150 Heatherdown Dr., Westerville Ohio 43081.
