Linda L. Macik

Linda L. Macik, 73, of Dublin, Ohio, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2021 at The Ohio State University Medical Center. Linda was a former longtime resident of Cleveland, Ohio. Linda had a successful financial career for over 30 years in the lending industry primarily at AVCO Financial Services. Linda retired and began community service work volunteering in the ATRIUM at The Ohio State University Medical Center. Linda loved working at the hospital and was hired to a position at Ohio State working in the Medical Intensive Care Unit. Linda also enjoyed working directly with families who had loved ones receiving care on the unit. She loved to decorate for the holidays on the unit to brighten the spirits of the team and families. She truly loved working on the unit as it gave her much perspective in her life. She was grateful for the time she was able to spend at OSU. She formed many close friendships working with the Medical Intensive Care Unit. Once retired from OSU, Linda was actively involved in booking rentals at a second home on Seabrook Island, SC. She started what now is a successful rental business and formed many relationships across the country with those she met on this new endeavor. Linda was a lifelong Cleveland sports fan, specifically the Cleveland Browns. She's been a season ticket holder for 48 years. Linda enjoyed spending time at the beach, decorating for the holidays, and spending time with family and friends. She especially enjoyed all her travels with her cousin, Joan Curreri. Linda always seemed to come into peoples' life when they needed support most.

Linda was an only child and was preceded in death by her parents, Ted and Edith Klishak. Survived by only daughter, Sherri Macik; ex-husband, Nicholas Macik; dear friend, Zrelder Smith; and many extended family members.

Arrangements entrusted to SCHOEDINGER DUBLIN where a Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 11:30am.
