Linda Price, age 75, of Upper Arlington, died Friday, July 29, 2022. A 1965 graduate of Upper Arlington High School. She went on to graduate from The Ohio State University in education in 1969. She was very active in her Alpha Phi sorority and many social activities with the Ohio State University. Linda had tried to get into an art class for 3 quarters and finally did in the spring of 1968. Her husband David had dropped the art class to go into the Coast Guard Reserve in 1967. When back from the service, he was able to pick the same art class as Linda had to take for her degree in education. When Linda walked into the class at Hayes Hall, their eyes looked into each other and as they say, “it was love at first sight!” They married in 1971. She taught first grade for many years at Wickliffe elementary in Upper Arlington before having their son David Jr. Linda was a big OSU sports fan. They planned their schedule around most home football games… even their wedding. The scheduling worked well for over 50 years of marriage. Linda missed only two home games from 1967 until 2020 when Covid hit. Linda was a devoted and loving mom who loved her cats Archie and Tippy and all animals. Linda and David loved real estate as a hobby. Both entered into buying rental property in the early 70s. The hobby turned into a business that Linda was very active in all her life. One of her joys was remodeling any home or apartment. HGTV was a favorite pastime to watch. Her main hobby was her jewelry collection and she even got her gemologist certificate. Her desire to travel around the world with David started the first year of marriage. Since they were members of The Columbus Museum Of Art, they had an urge to visit some of the great museums of the world including: the Louvre, the Hermitage Museum, Athens Acropolis Museum, Cairo Egyptian Museum, the British Museum, and the Berlins Pergamum Museum. They traveled to all but one continent. Greece, Australia, Israel and Italy were some of their favorite destinations. A yearly trip to upstate New York and Ogunquit, Maine was on the agenda for the last 25 years. Linda wintered yearly in their home in Naples, Florida. She was a member of Scioto Country Club, Athletic Club of Columbus. Imperial Golf Club of Naples, Covenant Presbyterian Church, and life time member of OSU Alumni Club. Preceded in death by parents Paul F Lewis and Muriel Low Lewis of Upper Arlington, Ohio. Survived by husband David E Price and David E Price Jr. and numerous cousins. Family will receive friends from 4-6 PM on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST, 1740 Zollinger Road, Upper Arlington, Ohio 43221, where a Funeral Service will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, August 4, 2022.
