Lindsay Ray Swain, 92, of Columbus, died Sunday, February 26, 2012. He was born April 1, 1919 in South Lowell, OH to the late Alfred and Arthlellia (Thompson) Swain. He was a U.S Navy veteran having served in WWII. He was a carpenter by trade, a member of American Legion Post #532 and VFW Post #3441. He is preceded in death by his wife Rosemary in 1992, his son Douglas Swain in 1989, grandson Troy and four brothers and three sisters. He is survived by two sons John Michael (Linda) and Richard (Ilene), six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, sisters-in-law Annie Gallaer and Wilma Swain, best friend Kayo Parsley, many nieces, nephews and friends. Family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-8 PM at SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3030 W. Broad St. Graveside services will be held Thursday at 1 PM at Sunset Cemetery.
