

Lois J. High, age 94, of Upper Arlington, died Thursday, January 30, 2014 at Mayfair Village Nursing Center. She was born November 20, 1919 in Springfield, OH, daughter of the late Frank and Elsie (Stossel) Eminger. Lois is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Toni and Archie Ferroni, NJ; six grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and two great great grandsons; half sisters, Bernadette Light and Susan Greenhill. Besides her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Robert W. High and twin sons, Christopher and Robert High.
She was an active member of St. James Episcopal Church, where she was the Altar Guild Directress for over 20 years. A very spiritual and caring person, Lois was a former volunteer at Mt. Carmel Medical Center for many years; life member of
The Spiritual Association of Our Lady of Victory Basilica, Lackawanna, NY and an Associate of the Community of Transfiguration, Glendale, OH. She always enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren and loved dogs, especially her airedales she raised from puppy’s. Funeral service will be 11:00 am Monday, February 10, 2014 at St. James Episcopal Church, 3400 Calumet St., Columbus, OH 43214. Rev. Fr. Phillip J. Harris officiating.
