

Lois Marie (Eldridge) White, age 90, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Heartland of Uptown Westerville. She was born March 20, 1928 in Timothy, Tennessee to the late Lester and Gertrude "Gertie" (Robbins) Eldridge and is also preceded in death by her siblings, Bob, John, Ed, Paul, Howard, Hugh, Wilkie Cole, and Elna Eldridge; daughter, Susan Hyland; and great-grandson, Lucas Volk. Lois is survived by her siblings, Mitch and Bill Eldridge, Morean Randol, and Glinda Clouse; daughter, Shelia (Michael) Gleason; and grandchildren, Hannah (Jeff) Spitzner, Sarah (Keith) Gibson, Caitlin (Mark) Volk, Brendon (Amber) Hyland, and Ariel (John) Groom. Lois grew up near Crossville, Tennessee working on the farm with her family, and then after graduating high school she moved to Ohio to look for work. She married Charles White and had two daughters, Susan and Shelia. She had many different jobs over her career, but among her favorites were Conference Director at Ashland University and then later her work with the Noble County EMA. She loved the outdoors, and planted beautiful gardens wherever she lived. She loved her family even more, and passed on her wisdom, humor, faith and sense of adventure to her kids and grandkids.
