Lorean Josephine Wood Maughan

Lorean Josephine Wood Maughan, age 96,of Hilliard, Ohio, former resident of Augusta, GA and Dover, Ohio, passed away Thursday morning, September 4, 2014, with family at her bedside. She was born in Salina, Kansas on May 21, 1918 to Martin Patrick and Rose Belle (Neese) Wood. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters; and a special aunt and uncle, J. Willis and Nellie Neese, who raised her from an infant. Lorean was a feisty lady with a luminous personality. She enjoyed music, crafts, sewing, gardening, fishing, bowling and traveling. She was in retail sales for many years. Lorean leaves four children; Rosalie Beaber of Dover, OH, Barbara Devore of Columbus, OH, Don (Linda) Maughan of Dover Ohio, and Shirley Wallace of Augusta, GA; one grandson, Shawn Patrick Beaber; two great-grandchildren, Brian Patrick Beaber and Sara Lynn Beaber; two great-great-grandchildren, Kail Marshall and Addison Beaber; 3 special nephews; and numerous grand-nieces and nephews. Additionally preceded in death by three sons-in-law, Dale E. Beaber, Dalton D. Devore, and Richard Wallace.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 am on Friday, September 26, 2014 at the SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St., Worthington, OH 43085 where the family will receive friends an hour prior. Pastor James Nook officiating.
