

Lorenzo Tatum was born on May 26, 1937 to Tisha Mae and Robert Lee Tatum in Whiteville, Tennessee and passed away , Tuesday, February 7, 2017 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was raised by his uncle Willie and Nancy Tatum in Mercer, Tennessee. He moved to Columbus, Ohio to pursue better opportunities for his family. He was a small business owner who then went on to work for a major HVAC company. He had many accomplishments throughout his career in the heating and cooling industry. As a sports enthusiast from an early age and throughout his life, Lorenzo loved to play baseball and went on to play in a league in Columbus as a Catcher. He had a love of golf and was a fierce competitor on the course. His favorite football team is the Cincinnati Bengals and he was an avid OSU fan. After retiring to Las Vegas, he would arrive to a Sports Bar at 9am to watch his beloved Buckeyes. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers - Herbert and Von, sisters - Thelma, Gwyn and Bobbie. He leaves to mourn his passing his beloved wife Margaret, his children - Philip (Marilyn), Jerry (Mary dec) Loretta (Robert), Maria (Brad), Lorenzo (Chrissy), Sandra (Darrell), Wanda (Tommy dec), Tim, Karen (dec), Jeff, Geraldine and Tony (Linda). His grandchildren Jayla (Mo), Quanita, Syreeta (Cedric), Timekia, Tyrone (Jennifer), Peter (Lisa), Charles, Brieana. Marquette, Dawn, LaNette (dec), Brittnie, Tonshee, Timia, LaKendra, Jeremiah and Tommy D. 35 great grandchildren, and sisters Virginia and Gertrude. Friends may call 11:00 am-1:00 pm Monday, February 13, 2017 at SCHOEDINGER MIDTOWN CHAPEL, 229 East State Street, Columbus, OH 43215, where funeral service will be held 1:00 pm Monday.
