
Loretta Mae Fannin age 82, a resident of Grove City died Friday, December 11, 2009. She was born in Lily-Chapel, OH on July 31, 1927 the daughter of the late Harry and Helen Miller. She was a graduate of Grove City High School. During her life she had various careers including driving school bus, school cook, employee for the State of Ohio, Lazarus and the Gas Co. She married Rufus Fannin on December 31, 1947 and became a homemaker and mother. When her children were small they loved to go to Tar Hollow State Park and gather leaves. She played cards with her family, went camping, played bingo at OLPH and was an avid Buckeye Fan. Some of her passions were babysitting her great grandson David II, making no bake cookies, gospel and country music. She enjoyed being with her family and called them daily. Among her favorite things were car rides and water with crushed ice. She is loved dearly and will be missed by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Rufus in 1999, sister Betty Murray and brother Minor Miller. She is survived by son Donald (Hazel) Fannin and daughter Patty Puckett, three grandchildren David (Katrina) Fannin, Cne (David) Alexander, Richard (Laura) Fannin, four great grandchildren David Alexander II, Brooke Fannin, Jenna Fannin, Gracie Fannin, Aunt Audrey and cousin Carol, sister Dorothy Matthews.
