Lori Kathryn Guffey
June 24, 1967 – January 20, 2023

Lori K. (West) Guffey, age 55, of Galloway, died unexpectedly Friday, January 20, 2023 at Doctors Hospital West. She was born in Columbus, OH on June 24, 1967, oldest daughter of Gary and Jean (Kearney) West. Lori’s passion was her family and teaching as she was a teacher, administrator, principal and mentor at Cypress Christian School for 28 years. She will be sorely missed by her husband of 30 years, Cleve Guffey; children, Kurt (Jessica) and Colleen Guffey; parents, Jean and Gary West; sisters, Sandi (Sergio) Barcarolo and Marsha (Dennie) Dahmer; pets, Frodo and Peanut; nieces, Katie, Alexis, Samantha (Steven), Tiffani (Kyle); nephews, Devin and Jacob (Haylie) in laws, George and Anne Guffey; brother-in-law, Brian (Karl) Guffey; great twin nephews, Kamden and Paxton; other relatives and many friends. Lori coached middle school track for several years at Cypress Christian School. She could be seen enjoying M & M’s, chocolate candies and trying new foods. She traveled around the country visiting historical sites and bookstores. Lori was an avid fan of the Columbus Blue Jackets and OSU woman's volleyball games. She loved nature spending time gardening, and watching birds and butterflies. She would spend time visiting the Columbus Zoo and going to the Arts Festival and Renaissance Festival. Friends may call 5-8 pm Friday, January 27, 2023 at Cypress Wesleyan Church, 377 Alton Darby Creek Rd., Galloway, where funeral service will be held 10:00 am Saturday, January 28, 2023.
