

Louise Ellen Friley, age 53, passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2010, at Mount Carmel Medical Center. She was born in Columbus on November 12, 1956, to Edward and Mary Casto, and she was a lifelong resident of the Columbus area. She loved being a grandmother, and she enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren, cooking for them and doing anything she could to make them smile. She was always in the kitchen, and she was the matriarch of her family, taking care of those she loved and treating everyone with compassion and patience. She had a big heart, and she was mother to many. Louise loved to play internet games on Pogo, and she was a big Ohio State Buckeyes fan. She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Casto, Sr.; and sisters, Laura and Ruthie. She is survived by her husband who she loved to make happy for 14 years, Randy Friley; her mother, Mary Casto; children, Timothy Williams, Raymond “Yogi” Williams, Joe (Jennifer) Friley, Jana Friley, Peggy Friley, and Angela Friley; 11 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; siblings, Edward (Eddah) Casto, Frank (Jackie) Casto, Julia (Roger) Smith; brother-in-law, John McClery; aunt, Maida of Westerville; 11 nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews; and best friend, Joyce Cassidy. Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, January 8, 2010, at SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3030 W. Broad St. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Edwin Lewis officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery.
