

Lowell L. Staker, 89, of Columbus, Ohio, formerly, Upper Arlington, Ohio, passed away on April 4, 2018 surrounded by family. Lowell was preceded in death by his father, Lewis Staker, mother, Elsie Staker, and sister, Carolyn DeCamp of Wheelersburg, Ohio. He is survived by his two sons Scott Staker and wife, Sue, Mark Staker and wife, Laura, grandchildren; Brian, Joseph, Ashley and Jonathan Staker, three great grandchildren, brother, Howard Staker, and best friend, Rosa Hermosilla.
Lowell graduated from Wheelersburg High School and then served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. After the war, he graduated from The Ohio State University. Throughout his life, Lowell was employed by Firestone Tire + Rubber Company, Fidesta Co., Lazarus automotive and Lou Staker and Associates.
Lowell, known by many friends as Lou, was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and Cincinnati Reds. He loved to play golf and poker. He was a member of The Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Ohio where he donated time to charities. He was also a chanter with the Masonic Lodge, and a full pledged Shriner. Lowell was a good father and grandfather and enjoyed many great friendships during his lifetime.
Funeral services will be held at 4 P.M. Sunday, April 15, 2018 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd., where family will receive friends from 2 P.M. until time of service Sunday. Private family graveside services will be held at Wheelersburg Cemetery, Wheelersburg, Ohio.
