

Lucas James Sherman Conley, 18, went to be with the Lord on January 22, 2017. Lucas came into this world on March 11, 1998, born to his loving mother and father. As a child, Lucas was adventurous and active, enjoying everything from climbing on walls to saving a squirrel from a hound. He was a caring boy, loved animals and was always willing to help when he could. These qualities followed him into adulthood, as he was a helping hand to anyone who needed it. He was very active in his church, and even went on to participate in two mission trips with his mother, one to Texas in 2014 and one to Haiti in 2015. His sense of adventure did not waiver as he grew older, as he climbed the Texas- Mexican border fence just to be able to say he was in Mexico. Lucas graduated from Pickaway Ross in 2016, where he pursued welding. He continued his welding work with an Apprenticeship where he worked at Dupont, as well as making beautiful gifts for his friends and family. Lucas was an outstanding young man, wise beyond his years .Lucas loved his family with all of his heart. He will be truly missed by those who knew him. He will forever be a momma’s boy with mad welding skills. Lucas is preceded in death by his father, Rocky Conley; his grandfathers Hartford Conley and Herschel Mumaw; and his aunt Shelley Glidden. Left to mourn this young man are his loving mother, Kendra (Tim) Wickline; his siblings Joe (Taylor) Ward, Samuel and Silas Wickline, Brandy Conley Tate, Allen Snyder, Chance Conley, and Kourtney Lorelle. Also left to mourn are his great grandmother Daisy Kuhn; grandmothers Sue Stephens and Hazel Conley; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Visitation will be held at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home, located at 151 East Main St Circleville, on Thursday, January 26, 2017 from 4 to 8pm. A funeral Service will be held at Circleville First Church, located at 436 E Ohio St, with pastor Jay Neff officiating on Friday, January 27, 2017 at noon with an hour visitation prior. Lucas will be laid to rest at Forest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
