Lucie L. Grooms

Lucie L. Grooms, 89, passed away November 28, 2010 at Westminster-Thurber. Previously a resident of Grove City. Born May 27, 1921. She was preceded in death by husband of 61 years, Robert E., son, Robert Lee, and daughter, Karen Nester. She retired from S.M. Flickinger as executive secretary to the General Manager. She was a long time member of Central Presbyterian Church. She served as a Kindergarten teacher, Deacon and was active in their Secret Pal program. She is survived by her sister Nellie (Walter) Collins, son Ronald (Barb), daughter Teri (Ed) Potts, daughter Deborah (Jack) Parsons, 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren. Graveside service will be held Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 11:00am at Sunset Cemetery, 6959 West Broad Street, Galloway, Ohio 43119. Pastor Mark Arni officiating. A Memorial service will be Sunday, December 5, 2010 at 1:00PM at Central Presbyterian Church, 132 South 3rd Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215. Pastor Jim Mahler officiating.
