

Lucille Anne Kropp passed away on May 15, 2016, at National Church Residences of Gahanna. Born September 13, 1927, to the late Richard and Alice Thornburgh. Graduate of DeVilbiss High School in Toledo and attended The Ohio State University where she was a member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority. Volunteered at Grant Hospital, Crittenton Home for unwed mothers, and T.W.I.G. at Children’s Hospital. Co-founder of the Judy Shock Memorial Golf tournament. Attended First Congregational Church and St. Alban’s Episcopal Church. Former member of Bexley Women’s Club, the Columbus Club, Columbus Country Club, and the Athletic Club of Columbus. She was predeceased by husband Walter H. Kropp, and sister Kathryn Sosna. Survived by sons Walter B. and Kathy Kropp of Columbus, Karl V. Kropp and Julia Sullivan of Reston, Virginia; beloved grandchildren Walter W. “Will” (Mandy) and Sarah Jane (fiancé Josh Walther) Kropp of Columbus, Richard A., Andrew K., Patrick R., and Karl Aidan Kropp-Sullivan of Reston. Family will receive friends Wednesday, May 18, from 4-6 PM at SCHOEDINGER MIDTOWN CHAPEL, 229 E. State Street. Memorial service will be Thursday, May 19, at 2 PM at First Congregational Church, 444 E. Broad St. Rev. Timothy Ahrens officiating. Family will observe private burial at Green Lawn Cemetery.
