

Madge A. Withers, 83, of Columbus, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on October 6, 2020. Born in Uxbridge, England on January 20, 1937, she was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Alma (White) Corradine. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by the father of her children, George Holly; second husband Michael Withers; and sister Evelyn Sexton. She is survived by her children Donna (Jim) McGue and Martin (Tracy) Holly; grandchildren Brittany Hursey, Kyle McGue, Elizabeth (Morgan) Moye, Erika (Deante) Drummer, Andrew (Alecs Webster) Holly, and Taylor Holly; great grandchildren Zoey and Sierra Harper, Wyatt Moye, Rian Hill, and Marleigh Drummer. Madge met and married her first husband, George Holly in England in 1958, while he was serving in the United States Air Force. They made their way eventually to the United States, settling in Ohio in 1968. Madge worked until her retirement for Western Electric (ATandT/Lucent Technologies) in the assembly area. Outside of work, she enjoyed cooking, traveling, painting, dancing, visiting casinos, playing bingo, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Whitehall VFW and Bexley American Legion where she enjoyed spending time with friends. The family will receive friends Sunday, October 11, 2020 from 12-2:30PM, with a 2:30 funeral service at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna. In lieu of flowers the family asks memorial contributions in Madge's name be made to St. Jude's at www.stjude.org/donate . A burial will take place at 10:30am on Monday at St. Joseph Cemetery, Lockbourne, Ohio.
