

Marek Felix Kasperek, age 50, of Canal Winchester, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 18, 2017. He was born in Poland on April 21, 1967 and grew up in New Jersey before settling in Ohio. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Desert Storm. Marek worked in construction with his son, Nick. Marek enjoyed rock music, hockey, football, soccer, hunting, and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Bernadeta Kasperek, grandparents, Helen and Stanley Kasperek; uncle, John Kasperek; and brother, John Kasperek, Jr. He is survived by his sons, Nick Kasperek and Anthony Kasperek; daughter, Catherine Kasperek; sisters, Ewa (Krzysztof) Iwanowski, Rosie (Steve) Zalek, and Diane (Nick) Dankanyin; brother, Michael Kasperek; aunt, Maria Kasperek; former spouse and special friend, Diana (Larry Ritchie) Kasperek; sister in-law, Becky (Jim) Bryant; brother in-law, Brent (Matt Gothard) Burington; mother in-law, Peggy Reasoner; nieces, Ashley (Michael) Green, Kristina (Blake) Lavender, and Kayla (Steven Dunn) Bryant; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, loving family members, and friends. Friends may call on Sunday, October 29, 2017 from 2:00PM-6:00PM at the SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 East Livingston Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43232 where funeral service will be held on Monday, October 30, 2017 at 10:00AM. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery, Columbus, Ohio.
