Margaret Mary Alfred

Margaret M. Alfred, 77, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 5, 2018. Born in Grand Rapids, MI in 1940, she is survived by her husband of 56 years, Charles E. Alfred; sister, Donna M. Brown; children, Theodore, Michael, Julie, Jennifer, and Daniel; daughters-in-law, Jill, Teresa, and Sheyla Alfred; sons-in-law, Greg Hammond and Kevin McDonnell; and nine cherished grandchildren. Although "Maggie" worked many years at OSU, she was passionate about her family and her quilting. She put her heart and soul into beautiful quilts, such as the Dublin Historical Quilt and the Muirfield Quilt. She even owned her own quilt shop, and her sewing room remains a testament to her God-given talent. The threads of her life will forever be "stitched" and "etched" in the hearts of those that love her. Funeral services will be held at 7 P.M. Monday, April 9, 2018 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd., where family will receive friends from 5 P.M. until time of service Monday. Private family interment.
