There are many things I remember about Margaret but the thing that has impacted my life the most was the way in which she treated me when I was a teenager. As much trouble as I was, she always accepted me and treated me with more respect than any other adult other than Chuck and FAR more respect than I deserved at that time. That went incredibly far in getting my young adult life on track.

In addition, she always had a way of getting my thoughts into perspective and making me realize how many things were just not worthy of fretting over. My memory of her is that she was the opitomy of "Don't sweat the small stuff."

Knowing Margaret from a toddler to teen, to young mother,through being  grandmothers together, now who will I share my past memories with. The Garden theater, Isalys skyscraper cones,the long walks all over short north,the smith skating rink,Mirror lake at OSU, the museum, Ohio state fair, and Old Sacred Heart School, and May Queen Crowning at the church.and many years later just our talks which I will never forget, sorry we didn't have that last talk on your porch with a cup of your wonderful coffee.70 years of friendship lots of memories.Bateman family you've been blessed all these years with a loving wonderful Wife,Mother,and grandmother she'll be with you always.My prayers and thoughts are with you all. What can I say about my Auntie M? Words cannot express my feelings about her. After my Mother died, it was comforting knowing she was there. I enjoyed every minute I spent with her. We loved to "trudge" as she called it, to her little dollar stores, Kmart, Tim Horton's, anywhere. Just to sit on her porch and drink coffee was enough for me. I just loved her company and humor. She was the funniest person (besides Molly) that I ever met. So many memories, laughter and joy that she brought to my life. I loved hearing her advice on how to cure aches and pains, "just rub some VICKS on your feet and knees, and you will feel better" - didn't really work but I told her it helped my feet just to make her satisfied.

Mrs. Bateman was a wonderful woman. She had a great sense of humor and could make anyone smile! I remember she always wanted to take pictures of everyone to put on the wall at the sub shop. She loved everyone in the neighborhood, and we all loved her in return. My heart goes out to the family in such a sad time.

I lit a rose colored candle for you today. I chose this specific candle because you were just that...A Rose...So beautiful, so full of life. Even among the weeds around you, the storms of life, you still stood tall! I love you and I'm sure you're up there teaching everyone a thing or two about bingo!!!

My Mom what can i begin to say there is not enough space on here for me to tell you about her she surrounded herself around freinds and family and if mom was a flower and i had to pick one she would be a sunflower cause she was tall and strong and bright  and cheery and she stood out in the middle of things as you can see in this picture she would not want sadness only  you to smile and think of her her spirit will be in our hearts forever and she has eternal peace forever and i wish i could see what shes seeing now who knows she is probably playin bingo with the man himse lf and her johnny how she loved us all you"ll be missed i allready wanna call you but you know whats goin on you always did lol till we meet again and all of my love chuckie

Mags  will be  very much missed,  she was a kind happy soul, who   always made you feel welcome!  From   the first day that  I came into her home with her daughter Molly .  Over the years she cared for me when   my   mother   would be   hospitalized and treated me as her  own. What a sense of  humor she had, I learned this  fast  as  with  the Special send off gift  a   thoughtful but hilarious   MISS FLORIDA  bathing suite   she   made for me   to wear  as I ventured off to Florida, black and  pink   with a huge   miss Florida   Sash across the bodice it may sound silly but it was hilarious and  it 
meant alot  to me to have   her and her daughter to take time out to think of me. Of course she  introduced me to Bingo  she had a Love for the game.  Mags will always   be   in my heart  I am lucky to have  had her  in my life,   she taught me along with Molly  to laugh at things.   You wil be missed  but I know you are looking  down   at us all  and   will continue to laugh   at the simple things we do.

I am so saddened to learn of Maggie's passing from her neice Amie. Amie knew I thought alot of Maggie. I worked with her at R.E Harrington. I so enjoyed talking with her every day and listening to her talk about her family. She loved so big! She was a hoot too! Everyone liked Maggie. Her family has suffered an enormous loss, but the angels in heaven are rejoicing. Maggie loved God and expressed her faith in many of our conversations. What a gift God shared with us all.

My aunt, a woman who was always smiling.  I just remember growing up and how I loved to hang out with them.  She will always be remembered.  Prayers for her and the family!

Mrs. Bateman has known me since I was a little girl, I remember always feeling the most inviting, loving, caring and welcome feeling from here always as far back as I can remember. She was always smiling and made anyone who met her have a bright day just with a simple smile. She will be greatly missed here on earth, and she will be very cherished up in heaven looking down on all her family,friends and the world still spreading this joy around us. She was a loving Mother, Wife, Grandma, Aunt and Friend we will always love you Mrs. Bateman. Love always Heather Legg

My grandma was a wonderful inspiration to me and everyone else she ever met! She had a smile that could light up the night, and a heart of gold. I'm truly blessed that God allowed this angel to be apart of my life. Although I may be crying: I'm not crying for her, I'm crying for me. I'm going to miss her so much. Her memory will live on forever in all the beautiful children, grand children, great-grand children, neices, nephews, friends, and more.

Not only was she my mom, but she was my friend.  The one I could always count on no matter what.  She was a beautiful person inside and out and will be missed more than I can express.  My mom was the center of our family and the light in our lives.  She always made you feel better about things and gave you hope.  My mom was the type of mom that you wanted to hang out with because she was so much fun.  I cannot count how many times we laughed until we cried, and I cannot tell you how much joy she brought into my life.

She was married to the same man for 53 years, had several friends that have been life long friends, and was loved by everyone she met.  I don't know how we are going to go on without her, but I know we will because of all of the great memories we have.  I feel lucky and proud to say that this wonderful person was my mother.  I will miss her every single day, but I will have all of the memories and that will keep her alive in my heart and my mind always.  I loved her dearly and thought she was the best mom in the whole world.  She was one of a kind and will be missed.  Molly
