Margaret W. Bunn

Margaret Wise Bunn, age 89, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2011 after a long battle with heart disease. Peggy was born in Philadelphia and was the oldest child of the late John and Emily Wise. She was preceded in death by her husband, George M. Bunn, her sister, Emily Davies, and her brothers Robert and John (Buddy) Wise. She will be sadly missed by her children Margaret Neerman (David) of Falls Church VA, Mary Vanucci (Peter) of Brecksville OH, Robert Bunn (Carol) of Alpharetta GA and Patricia Decensi (Peter) of Hinckley, OH and her sister Patricia (Gurminder) Bedi. She is also survived by her grandchildren Andrew Neerman, Alex Neerman, Diana Vanucci Vickers, Michael Vanucci, Christy Miller, Brian Wells and Sean Wells; her great-grandchildren Grace Miller, Evan Miller, Steven Wells, Logan Wells and Connor Wells and many nieces and nephews, as well as her beloved cat, Samantha. Peggy was a long-time employee of Riverside Methodist Hospital in the Medical Education Department. She loved the hospital and volunteered there after her retirement. She also volunteered at the Elizabeth Blackwell Hospice, St. Andrew Church and Arlington Court Nursing Home. She loved her family and delighted in a party for any occasion. She was an avid gardener, a voracious reader, a fine cook and a caretaker of all who met her. She loved classical music and was a long-time season ticket holder of the Columbus Symphony. She was proud of her Irish heritage and will be lovingly remembered for her wonderful Irish wisdom. The family will receive friends at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Road, Upper Arlington, Ohio 43221 on Wednesday from 4-8.
