Margaret Darlene Davies

Margaret Darlene (Chamblin) Davies, age 79, currently of Port Clinton, previously of Columbus, passed away Monday, April 9, 2012. Darlene was born and raised in Columbus, daughter of the late Clemence “Toots” and John Chamblin, Sr. Also preceded in death by her husband, Ray Davies and brother, Jack Chamblin. Darlene graduated from Linden McKinley High School, Class of 1950 and later graduated from Bliss College. Darlene retired from Grant Medical Center where she worked in their medical records dept. She was truly an honest, graceful woman who was never seen without a smile. She enjoyed bowling, loved cats, and was a member of the Red Hats Society. She was a past member of St. Paul United Church of Christ and currently a member of Firelands Presbyterian Church. She will be greatly missed by her children, Debi (Daniel) Barlow and Dave (Sandy) Davies; grandchildren, Adam (Tia) Chaffin, Chad Alexander, Christopher (fiancé Heather Norris) Alexander, and Courtney (Christopher) Bergman; great grandchildren, Trew, Trustin, Tryce, Bella, Deitrich, Dalton, Dylan Olivia, Marissa, Corynn, and Whitney; lifelong friends, Sharlene and Lillian; and many other extended family members and dear friends. Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Friday, April 13, 2012 at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St., where funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. Saturday, April 14, 2012.
