I saw Margaret's obituary in the newspaper and wanted to stop by to extend my condolences to her family. My memories of Margaret are from my childhood. Long ago, she and her husband Joe were friends of my mother, Annalene Bates Ward. I recall that my mother, who passed away in January, 2010, adored Margaret. What I remember most are Margaret's eyes and her smile. Looking into her face was like looking into millions of sparkles. I don't think I have ever seen anyone with so much light in their smile of their eyes. There was a glow about her that was extraordinary. I felt it important to share that memory on behalf of my late mother and for me, a child who remembered something special about someone no longer with us.

What a beautiful woman and a beautiful smile.  I am sorry to learn of Margie's passing.  I was fortunate to meet her through my association with Joe.  Margie was my unofficial Rotary Newsletter editor.  We also shared a birthday which was a special connection.

Margaret's family were my neighbors on Kossuth St.  I remember when Margaret and Joe were dating and when they married and moved to Denver.  Margaret and I kept in close contact throughout the years .  We had a special bond.  We had a wonderful visit just a few months ago.  She will be missed. My sincere condolences to her family.

Prayers for all the Davis family for peace and understanding. I am saddened to know that Granny passed away. She was such a lovely, kind and generous woman. On one visit to see Tom, Gina and McKenna, Granny overheard me complimenting McKenna for learning to play the guitar. I shared how I, too, had always wanted to learn. Granny ordered me the same guitar lesson book she had given McKenna.  Granny shared her love with me and it's a song that will play forever in my heart :heart: I thank God for the blessing of knowing Granny.

Dear family of Joe and Margie,

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. They were my American parents and I was their Turkish daughter when we were neighbors on Village Brook Way. Just recently I was thinking about the Christmas they invited us and going to the church together. 
As I share your sorrow please accept my condolences from Istanbul and be in the know that they will  be in my prayers across the ocean.
I will always remember my sharing and caring American parents with sweet memories and will miss Margie's cinnamon bread and our laughters together.
Now that they are together again I hope that they rest in peace.

Lit a candle in memory of Margaret F. Davis

Margaret and I graduated from South High School together in 1949 and not long after, I was one of the bridesmaids in her wedding to Joe.  For many years our group of friends met at least annually at Christmastime to share our lives and our gratitude for long-time friendships.  I will remember her with admiration and love.
