

Margaret "Peggy" Hauser, age 92, of Hilliard, passed away Monday January 12, 2015 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center with her family by her side. Margaret was born in Waterbury, CT to parents Lewis James and Mary Young James who both precede her in death. Retired in 1988 as Administrator to the Department of Surgery after 30 years of service to The Ohio State University Hospitals. Margaret was a Certified Professional Secretary; member of the National Secretaries Association; 1967 Past President of the Columbus Chapter of the National Secretaries Association. She was honored as the Secretary of the Year by the Columbus Chapter. In 1994 she received the Spirit of Hope Award as Volunteer of the Year from the James Cancer Hospital. Recipient of the Rose of Concern Award at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by son-in-law Fred Klink and brother Oswald James. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Richard "Dick" (Susan) Hauser, of Grove City OH; daughter Lindsay Hauser, of Hilliard OH; daughter Candace Klink, of New Albany OH; granddaughters Amy (Kevin) Shepherd, of Tampa FL, Jacqueline (Jordan) Zacharias, of Grove City OH, and grandson David Klink, of Columbus OH; sister Elizabeth Berry, of Palmyra VA; several nieces and nephews in Columbus OH, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Margaret dedicated her whole life caring for her family, she was devoted to her children and her grandchildren and it gave her great pleasure to watch them succeed in many aspects of their lives. She enjoyed summers with her family at the Jersey Shore. Memorial Service will be held 4:00pm Saturday January 17, 2015 at St. Paul Lutheran Church 4686 E. Walnut St. Westerville, OH. Rev. Wayne Harrison officiating. Arrangements entrusted to SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL.
