

Margaret Ellen (nee Bishop) Marsh, age 97, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at the Mill Run Gardens and Care Center, Hilliard, Ohio. Margaret was born in South Stockton, New York on February 28, 1916 to the late David and Margaret Bishop. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Norris Marsh; son, Raymond Marsh; grandson, Jeffrey Wunsch; brother, Howard (Betty) Bishop; sisters, Helen (George) Fleckenstein and Velma (John) Milks. She is survived by brothers, Lester (Laura) Bishop and David (Beatrice) Bishop; son, William (Carol) Marsh; daughters, Marilyn Garich and Faye Davis, Jo Anne (Larry) Fisher; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Marsh Barrier; sister-in-law, Klare (Robert) Van Dusen; special daughter, Elinor Lesefske; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, and nephews. Margaret had many interest in her life, she belonged to the Rebeccas, Home Bureau and a Senior Citizen Travel Club. She traveled extensively with the travel club throughout the United States and Canada and saw many wonderful things. She sat on the election board for many years in New Albion, New York. She and her husband owned a house built in 1848 which they lived in for 55 years. She painted, wallpapered, and refinished woodwork throughout the house several times during those 55 years. She and Norris raised their children there, and the grandchildren and great-grandchildren loved to visit as there was a creek that ran through the backyard they loved to play in. Her whole family meant the world to her, and she loved to have them visit. A memorial service will be held at a later date with inurnment to follow at the Lower New Albion Cemetery in New Albion, New York. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Eastern Paralyzed Veterans Association, The American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
