Margaret "Marge" Ruyan

Margaret M "Marge" Ruyan, 93, of Westerville, Ohio passed away peacefully on October 5, 2016. She was born December 7, 1922 in St. Clairsville, Ohio to the late Steven Sr. and Mary (Biernot) Hobart. Marge graduated from St. Clairsville High School in April of 1940 and went on to attend cosmetology school in Wheeling, West Virginia. Although she enjoyed working in the field of cosmetology, her true passion was her family. She married George Ruyan on June 17, 1946 and lived out her life as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Marge was a devout Catholic, and was a faithful member of Church of the Nativity in Utica for many years, before transferring to New Albany Church of the Resurrection. She is survived by her children, George "Nick" (Maggie) Ruyan, Debby (John-deceased) Tramontana and Stephanie (Michael) Medors; beloved grandchildren, Cory, Steven, Christopher (Ewa), Jake (Kristen) and Joel; precious great-grandchildren Kolten, Kyra, Gabriel, Liam and Nash; many nieces, nephews and cousins; In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband George and brother Steven Jr. Family will welcome friends 2-5pm Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd. (at Beecher), Gahanna, OH 43230. Mass of Christian Burial 10am Monday, October 10, 2016 at Church of the Resurrection, 6300 E. Dublin-Granville Rd., New Albany, OH 43054. Following the Mass a light lunch will be served at the church. Friends and family will gather at 2pm Monday for entombment services at Newark Memorial Gardens, 4244 Marion Rd. NE, Newark, OH 43055.
