

Margaret Elizabeth Spedding, age 97, passed away Sunday, September 4, 2016 at Columbus Colony Elderly Care. She was born on April 7, 1919 to late Martin and Helen (Weber) Green in Ilion, New York. She was a long time member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. Margaret worked for Remington Arms Factory in New York as Rosie the Riveter during WWII. She was a proud 60 year survivor of breast cancer. Margaret retired from Big Bear after many years of dedicated service. She enjoyed tennis, playing the piano, dancing and stayed active swimming until she was 92 years old. She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald J. Spedding, Sr.; 2 year old son, David Spedding; brothers, Martin Green, Jr. and Edward Green; daughter-in-law, Carla Spedding. Margaret is survived by loving children, Donald J. Spedding, Jr., Kathleen (Daniel) Signoracci and Mary (William) Ball; grandchildren, Rob Spedding, Raelynn (Eric) McIntyre; Crimson Baggett, Melanie Signoracci, Christopher (Ashley) King (who are expecting a great grandchild), Jessica (Justin) Rodgers, Amy Ball and Melissa Ball; great-grandchildren, Carlyann (Brian) Inman (who are expecting Harper Ann Inman as Margaret's great great granddaughter), Connor Spedding, Kayla and Gage Trout, Ryan McIntyre, Casey Taylor, Raven Baggett, Christopher Gerst and Austin Tolliver; sisters-in-law, Ann Green and Nina Green; along with many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Family will receive friends Friday, September 9, 2016 from 10-12 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Road. A funeral service will take place on Friday at 1 p.m. at Resurrection Cemetery, 9571 N. High Street, Lewis Center, Ohio 43035, where burial will take place after the service.
