Dear Mark,

I have just today learned of Peg's memorial service, regrets we couldn't be there.
Our deepest condolences to you and your family for your loss.  I have fond memories of  
Margaret on the few times we had contact with the Senior Stansberys over the years.  She was a true champion for the causes of social justice and will be missed by the whole community.

I’m saddened to hear about the passing of Peg Stansbery.  I taught with Mrs. Stansbery at Koebel Elementary for 12 years.  She was a true martyr for all people. I learned a lot from her.  My condolences, Paulla Watkins Shaw

I am very sorry to hear about Peg's passing. Her deep concerns for education, peace, social justice, and human rights were admirable and an example to her family and friends. She manifested those efforts in her years of teaching as well as participating in several peace groups, one of which was the Ohio Coalition for Philippine Concerns. A magnanimous person is no longer with us physically but her legacy of compassion, education and her work for peace and justice will remain forever in those who love her. May her husband, Rev. Les, and her beautiful family feel the love, thoughts, and prayers of many who knew and admired Peg.

To the Stansbery family and Margaret's many friends, I extend my deep sympathy for your loss. I met her only a few times and always as a supporter for the work of her husband, Les, and her son, Mark. Since these are two of the best men I have ever met, I have to assume that she had a great influence upon each of them. Since I do not know her or her work, I cannot honestly speak to that; however, she was always kind and gracious during our encounters which were ALWAYS at an event where someone was getting or giving an award, a speech, and doing "good works" in our community and world. I think a person who shows up and has likely been "showing up" for decades, must be a remarkable person, filled with compassion, vision, and views of her own about how to make this world a better place. Thanks for being such a supportive counterpart to the legacy work of your husband and son that I know best.

I'm lucky to have crossed paths with you and your family and so many other people and families are too.

May each of you find much comfort in your many happy memories of Mrs. Stansbery now and even laughter and joy as this time passes.

A joyous soul full of energy. She was a friend, mother, and grandmother - all rolled into one for me.   We could talk for hours. She will be dearly missed.
