Margaret H Szalay

Margaret H. Szalay, age 84, of Columbus, passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2012. She was born to the late Paul and Anna Hrozencik on February 25, 1928 in McKeesport, PA. Margaret was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed travelling with her daughters and spending time with family. She retired from Shaffer Distributing Company after 15 years of service. She was also a long time member of Upper Arlington Lutheran Church. In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her siblings, Paul Hrozencik, Vera Stafura, and Anne Waydeman. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Burt Szalay; her children, Vicki (Todd) Hoitink, Debra (Donald Duffy) Szalay, and Adrienne Szalay; brother, Ferdy Hrozencik; grandchildren, Sean, Megan, Kayla, and Lacey Duffy, Drew and Evan Hoitink. Friends may call from 5pm-7pm on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL1740 Zollinger RD. A graveside service will be held at 11am on Friday, March 2, 2012 at Kingwood Memorial Park.Pastor Paul Ulringofficiating.
