

She was born July 18, 1935 in Toney, Alabama. She was one of eleven children born to Manchie Vance and Willie Ida Vance.
The Vance family moved from Alabama to Springfield, Ohio. Margie relocated to Columbus, Ohio in 1961. A retired employee of the Ohio State University, she was an avid Ohio State fan. She loved her family and enjoyed bingo. She was a member of the Power of Prayer Church Ministries, under the leadership of Bishop Colette Jones. She was preceded in death by Parents: Manchie and Willie Ida Vance. Brothers: Robert Vance, John Mack Vance, and Carl Eugene Vance. Sisters: Rose Louise Vance, Mamie Vance and Jimmie Dee Booker. Son: Jeffrey L. Vance. She leaves to cherish her memory, daughter, Jami D. Vance. Grandchildren: Branden Vance and Alesha (Traey) Williams. Great grandchildren: Jamia and Tarea' Siblings: Amy Rocine Culberson, Inez Vance, Vera Mae Brown and Pauline Vance all of Columbus, Ohio. Long-time friends Geneva Anthony, Frances Sharp and Charlene Bradley. As well as a host of family members and friends.
