Margot Stevens

Margot Heidron Stevens, 74, of Galena, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2019. She was born August 7, 1944 in Germany to the late Fritz and Freida Strauss; also preceded in death by her sister Christiana Stork and her brother Hubert Strauss. Margot met her husband, Paul Stevens, while he was serving in the USAF in Germany, and accepted his hand in marriage on August 15, 1968. She enjoyed a long career in the airline industry and retired as a flight attendant with Delta, a job that she loved, after 32 years of service. Paul and Margot moved from Los Angeles to Ohio to be with son Chris and daughter-in-law Jamie, where Margot loved the day to day contact, whether playing cards, planting flowers or simply cooking, it was all about family time. In addition to her husband of 50 years, Paul, she is survived by her beloved son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Jamie Stevens; her niece Ute (Timothy) Walker; great-niece and nephew, Vivian and Sean-Duncan Walker and very special companion dogs, Scarlet, Buddy and Lexi. Family will receive friends from 1-3pm Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd. Gahanna, OH 43230 where a service will begin at 3pm; Barbara Bue will officiate. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to www.stopthesuffering.org in Margot's memory.
