Marie Walker Belton

Marie (Williams) Walker Belton, born February 28, 1929 in Columbus, OH, to Ardie and Mary Ann (Wooten) Williams. She departed life on July 19, 2014. She is preceded in death by husband and father of her children James Walker, Sr. and most recent husband Thomas Belton, brother Emmett, sisters Ledora Martin, Edith Jefferson and Elaine Peebles. She graduated from Central HS and retired from Mt. Carmel Hospital. Marie accepted Christ at an early age and lived her life serving The Lord. She was a former member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church and a faithful member of Exodus Fellowship Church. Marie leaves to cherish her memories, sons, James, Jr.(Cheryl), Thurman (Donita), grandchildren, Maree (Michael) Whitlow, James, III, Leah (Chris) Hout, Thurman Anthony, Jeremy, Timothy, Justin and Brittany Walker. 10 Great Grandchildren, special cousin Susie Hairston-Jordan, special nieces Jacqueline (Thomas) Joyce and Denise Wooten, special nephew Michael (Shirley) Peebles, special daughter Lynn Walker and loving family and friends. Services will be held at New Birth Christian Ministries, 3475 Refugee Road, 43232 on Thursday, July 24, 2014, 1pm viewing, 2pm service. Interment at Eastlawn Cemetery.
