Marie B. Morin

A funeral service, to celebrate the life of Marie B. Morin, 82, of Newark, will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2009 at 10:30 AM at the Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Rocky Fork Cemetery.

Marie was born in Newark, Ohio on August 10, 1927 to the late Frank and Bertha (Cain) Davis. She passed away at Grant Medical Center on Monday, November 02, 2009 while surrounded by her family.

She was devoted to her family and loved attending her grandchildren’s activities. She also enjoyed gardening, singing, entertaining and cooking holiday meals for her family.

Survivors include three daughters, Connie (Jeffrey) Halliday of Waynesburg, PA, Peggy (Thomas) O’Reilly of Newark, and Debra (Donald) O’Reilly of St. Louisville; two sons, Ricky (Renie) Morin of Newark and Rod (Vickie) Morin of Newark; brother, Raymond Davis of Newark; nine grandchildren, Jamie (Christy) Bunn, Christina Halliday, Jason Bunn, Lea Anne (Dwight) Broseus, Jamie (Travis) Binckley, Briana (Chad) Caldwell, Daniel (Christine) Halliday, Lindsay (Wade) Kirk and Amy O’Reilly; nine great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Carlos F. Morin in 1991; and eight brothers and sisters.

Memorial contributions may be made in Marie’s memory to Hospice of Central Ohio, 2269 Cherry Valley Road, Newark, Ohio 43055.

Family and friends may call at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
