Marilyn M. Braun

Marilyn M. Braun, age 92, passed away Friday, July 28, 2023. She was born on March 8, 1931 in Maria Stein, Ohio, the daughter of the late Louis and Rosina (Rolfes) Overman. On July 5, 1954, she married William H. Braun at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.

Marilyn is survived by her sister, Dorothy Gerlach and brother, Louis Overman Jr; children, David (Nancy) Braun, Ann (Doug) Pardi, Donald (Cindy) Braun, and Linda (Mike) Borelli; twelve grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Vioma, Alvina, Richard, Otmar, Linus, and Cyril.

Marilyn grew up in Maria Stein, Ohio, but spent most of her life in Columbus, Ohio. She also lived in Frankfurt, Germany for three years and San Juan, Puerto Rico for two years. For over twenty- five years, she and William wintered in Port St. Lucie, Florida. She worked as a bank teller and in the accounting office of Highlights for Children. She loved long walks, traveling and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Thank you to the caretakers at the Forum at Knightsbridge and Capital City Hospice for taking such good care of her in her final years and days. Marilyn will have services at St. Brendan Church at 10:30 AM on Thursday, August 3, 2023 and will be buried with her husband William in Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
