Marilyn Hannum

Marilyn Ann Hannum (nee Jaynes) age 89, born September 9, 1924 passed away at the Laurels of Norworth in Worthington on June 24, 2014. She was preceded in death by husband Carl, parents Herbert and Lucille Jaynes and grandson Jamie Alison Moore. Marilyn was a graduate of Bexley High School, Capital University and The Julliard School. She taught piano, organ and voice out of her home and was an active member of Ascension Lutheran Church where she directed the junior choir and was head of the Alter Guild. Marilyn was an avid bridge player, bowler, delivered Meals on Wheels for many years, and was a HUGE Ohio State Buckeyes fan. She is survived by daughter Stephanie Mason, son Mark (Trisha) Hannum, daughters Debbie (Ernie) Whitehead and Jill (Terry) Brog; grandchildren Kelli, Jody, Amberly, Melinda, Jeremy, Shaun and Ryan; 7 great-grandchildren; niece Melissa (Terry) McPherson; sister-in-law Alma Hannum. Family will welcome friends from 11am-1pm Friday, June 27, 2014 at Schoedinger North Chapel, 5554 Karl Rd., Columbus, OH 43229, for a time of celebrating Marilyn's life. Procession to Green Lawn Cemetery will leave the funeral home at 1:15pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Meals on Wheels or the Capital Area Human Society.
