Marilyn R. Porter (Pettit), age 81, of Columbus, died June 1, 2012. Born to Eugene and Pearl Porter in Circleville, Ohio on June 18, 1930, Marilyn was a graduate of Pickaway High School and Ohio University. A long time Medina resident, she served on the County Fair Board and Zoning Commission. She was a Columbus resident for more than 25 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Robert (Carolyn) Porter; former husband, Tom Pettit. She is survived by her brother, Richard (Ruth) Porter; children, Jennie (Tom) Cherry, Susanne Brackman, and David (Rhonda) Pettit; grandchildren, Kayla Brackman, Myles and Bryce Cherry. A Memorial Service will be held at 3pm on Sunday, June 17, 2012 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL 1051 E. Johnstown Rd. Gahanna, where the family will receive friends from 1-3pm.
