Our hearts and prayers are with you right now during this very difficult time in your life! You mother was SUCH a wonderful woman, and her greatness is passed on with each of you! She and your dad did a lot of wonderful things, but the greatest thing they did was create three wonderful, loving people in you guys! Marilyn was a lovely lady whom we remember  fondly for reaching out to others  always in kindness and in a loving and non-judgemental way. We admired her strength through her sickness which came from her unshakable faith and trust in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She and her husband Jim were a great team together.We will never forget the love and concern that they showed for our youth and in our own children and grandchildren when we were all attending the First Baptist Church of New Albany. Now Marilyn has joined Jim  in  almighty God's kingdom of heaven. Until we meet again dear ones.  We extend our deepest condolences to James, Dawn , Heather & families.   So sorry that we were unable to be there for you but we are with you in spirit as we lift you all up in our prayers.

I was very sorry to hear the news.  Marilyn was one of the most loving and kind people I have ever known and I'm very honored she was a part of our family.  And I must say she was a great cook!  I can't think of a bad dessert she ever made.  I will cherish all of the fond memories 'down on the farm' at grandma's for family reunions. In 2001 I met Heather at work and she invited our family to FBC Groveport, Tara, Melissa, Amanda and I entered the church and Stephanie Coleman comes bouncing down the hall bends down to look into Tara's eyes because she is in a wheel chair and battered from steroids, chemo, and radiation, and says "welcome to First Baptist you are a beautiful lady" gives her a big hug looks in her eyes and says "I love you". Next we meet Marilyn Rinaldi and she hugs us and makes sure we are welcome by helping us find a seat, introducing us to others and giving us a tour of the church. I mentioned Stephanie because Marilyn and Jim had a great impact on the youth at Groveport and Marilyn made sure the girls were introduced to many youth that day as well as the youth pastor. Marilyn made us feel so welcome and focused on serving us even though her Jim had passed away only weeks before we met her.
We began attending FBCG and Marilyn continued to bless our family, she was an amazing servant to the needs of everyone she met and offered unconditional love to everyone no matter what their background or history. Marilyn did the right thing no matter how difficult the task and when God called her to do His work, she responded even though many days she could have stayed in bed feeling sorry for herself because of the health problems she battled daily. As my wife's health declined Marilyn made a very difficult yet very special call to me, she said God spoke to my heart that you need to know what you are about to go through and some preparation that will help you be there for your girls. Many of us shrug off God's voice as just a fleeting thought when in fact He is speaking to us to serve Him and His people. Marilyn helped me and our girls through the most difficult time of our lives and was an amazing example of listening to the voice of God and responding to it.
After Tara passed away I began to grow closer to the Rinaldi family as Marilyn was always making sure our family was ok and inviting us to their gatherings. Through this time Heather and I began to grow our friendship and then I was honored to marry into the Rinaldi family. Marilyn always focused on everyone elses needs and put them before her own, she loved God with all her heart, told others of her Savior Jesus Christ, would give anything to help anyone in need especially her family, loved the church, loved our great country and especially men in uniform (right Kev and Aus), loved her kitties, loved Harley Davidson's, and taught me that blood does not make a family, LOVE does. She was my mom and the girls grandma and had a very special way of making all our family's feel equally important, (like the grand-kid drawer). Thank you Marilyn for your life of Love and example we should strive for in Christ, I will miss you, but I am glad you are back in the arms of Jim and in the presence of Christ, and as you requested on Sunday... No worries I will definitely take care of your girl.

Sorry this is so long but it could be a lot longer for the impact she has made. If you are still reading this I know Marilyn would have this question for us all:
1- Do you know Christ as your personal savior? If not call someone right now and pray with them or follow this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kr4VIIT8VR8&feature=related
2- If you already know Christ as your personal savior and are doing His will that is wonderful, if you are not and are saved for eternity but are being disobedient then stop it and begin reading your bible, and praying to grow your relationship with God, and worship Him with your life.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss...your mom was a wonderful person and one of the first to take me under her wing when i started First Baptist church, she told me to always hang onto God know matter what the situation and he would see me through.  I will miss her deeply.  We had some great talks.  your family is in my prayers...
