Marion Victor Faini

Mario V. Faini age 90, of Grove City Ohio, passed away May 19, 2020 after a long and difficult battle with Alzheimer's disease. Mario was born in Salem, Ohio to the late August and Carmella Faini. We, his family, will be forever honored by the example he set with his work ethic and commitment to community and family. His love for our family dinners and get-togethers, especially holidays, were infectious and joyful. Mario enjoyed several hobbies including photography, motorcycles, model trains, and learning the Italian language and culture. Filming family get-togethers with his 8 MM video camera starting in the 1950's was legendary and will be forever cherished by all. Mario was a long time and devoted parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Grove City. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who loved life and inspired us all with his quiet but commanding presence. He is preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Loie L. Faini; siblings, Peter Faini and Larry Faini. He is survived by his loving children, A. John Faini, Kathleen Faini, Joseph (Sharon) Faini, James (Mary Jo) Faini, Kristine (Brian) Johnson, and Kerrie (James) McKendry; 16 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Friday May 22, 2020 from 4-7 pm at Schoedinger Grove City, 3920 Broadway. Due to current guidelines, friends and family are encouraged to contact family and/or Schoedinger for details. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Mario's name to the Alzheimer's Association www.alz.org.
